Eagle’s Flight Farm hosts workshops and events for Cultivating Peace, a 501(c3) project of Spectrum Arts & Education for Peace. The primary focus of these workshops is related to permaculture and nature based education and experience for youth. .
We plan to offer workshops on the "lasagna" method of growing, vegetarian cooking, wild edibles and medicinal plants, yoga and the spiritual world. Slow Food events will also be forthcoming.
International permaculture teachers Charles & Julia Yelton will arrive in June to teach several workshops, one of which will be the building of a wood fired oven. Details are being worked out and will be announced soon. To learn more about the Yeltons please visit www.beyondpermaculture.org
The serenity and beauty of this ecologically rich land is an inspirational place for artists, writers and naturalists to teach or hold a special event.
We encourage those of you with expertise you would like to share to consider Eagle’s Flight Farm as a host site. We have a large movie screen and viewing area set up in the former dairy barn. We have the ability to provide delicious vegetarian food for events and are working towards building the "Community Café"
Please contact us if you are interested in facilitating a workshop, organizing a special event or want to be involved with the Cooperative Learning Center we envision or Cultivating Peace.
